According to reports, Sean “Diddy,” the disgraced music entrepreneur, was taken from his prison cell to the hospital after concerns were raised regarding his health.
As he awaits trial, the 55-year-old music producer is being detained by authorities on a number of allegations related to multiple alleged sex crimes.
After Combs reportedly complained of severe knee pain that was allegedly brought on by a prior injury, an urgent MRI scan was ordered.
The American press was reminded that the MRI scan was only conducted at night to prevent rumors and conjecture from other prisoners at MDC.
After the MRI scan was completed, Combs was returned to his cell; no results have been made public. It is believed that Combs did not spend the night at Brooklyn Hospital.
“For privacy, safety, and security reasons we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for anyone in our custody, including medical status or medical trips,” a Bureau of Prisons representative informed the media in response to the rumors.
Since being arrested last year on charges of sex crimes, racketeering, and prostitution, Combs—who has previously gone by a number of aliases, including Puff Daddy and P Diddy—has been imprisoned.
He has been repeatedly denied bail, but he maintains his innocence and vehemently denies all of the charges against him; his trial is scheduled to start in May 2025.
In addition to the criminal charges he faces, Combs is being sued by a number of people who have filed civil cases against him, alleging they were physically or psychologically abused.
R&B singer Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, is one of the people suing Combs. She was his long-term partner from 2007 to 2018 and filed the lawsuit in November 2023, claiming that the Tell Me performer had put her through a ten-year “cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking.
” In May 2024, CNN obtained footage depicting Combs allegedly physically assaulting Cassie in a hotel room in 2016; the rapper apologized for his actions in the video, calling them “inexcusable.”
