
On Sunday night, a pedestrian died after beeing struck by a motorist near a busy intersection in Fresno.
The police reported that the accident happened around 10 p.m. at Blackstone Avenue near Highway 41 and Herndon Avenue.
Fresno police Lt. Henry Garcia said the Officers arrived and found the man on the sidewalk and began first aid.
According to report, the man, who was in his 40s, was rushed to St. Agnes Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The identity of the deasesed is yet to be released by the officials.
Garcia said that the pedestrian was at fault, although he could not say why, and that the motorist was still there but undergoing a DUI evaluation.
For several hours, authorities stayed on the scene to examine security footage and speak with witnesses in order to ascertain what had occurred.
