PITTSFIELD, Ill. (WGEM) – The Tri-State basketball community is mourning the tragic loss of Reese Ramsey, a talented freshman girls’ basketball player from Pittsfield, who died in a car crash on Highway 106 Tuesday night.
Ramsey’s impact on the court was undeniable, with her energy and enthusiasm inspiring her teammates to achieve 20 wins this season. However, it was her love for the game and her infectious spark that truly set her apart.
She had a remarkable ability to energize the crowd and uplift her teammates, whether through her impressive skills on the court or her kind gestures off the court. Ramsey’s passion for basketball was evident in every game, and she left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of watching her play.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pittsfield community, Ramsey’s family, and the entire Tri-State basketball community as they cope with this devastating loss.
