
Ten Arrested in Connection with Deadly Rogers Shooting
Rogers, AR – Prosecutors have confirmed that ten individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Andres Fonseca last weekend.
Eight of the suspects, ranging in age from 15 to 27, are facing capital murder charges. Five of the eight are under the age of 18. An additional suspect is being charged with accomplice to capital murder, while another individual is facing unrelated charges.
According to police, Fonseca was shot in the 3100 block of South B Street and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Affidavits released on Tuesday revealed that three teenagers allegedly fired separate guns at Fonseca and others present. The reports also indicated that the suspects were associated with each other.
Prosecutor Sexton noted that the investigation is nearing completion, with the prosecutor’s part of the investigation set to begin soon. Sexton also expressed concern about the increasing trend of gun violence involving younger individuals inĀ publicĀ areas.
