Fatal Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of 21-Year-Old Rider in Banate, Iloilo
A tragic motorcycle accident occurred late Sunday night, April 13, 2025, in Banate, Iloilo, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Lenje Bersabal. As Island Living Channel reported, Bersabal was riding with his classmate, Mark Alonday, also 21, when their motorcycle crashed into a concrete wall in a residential area around 11:40 PM.
Initial findings suggest that the driver, Bersabal, may have fallen asleep prior to the crash, which caused the motorcycle to break through the wall with significant force. Both riders were wearing helmets, but they were severely damaged in the impact.
Despite efforts to revive him, Bersabal was pronounced dead at 11:54 PM at the Governor Niel D. Tupas Sr. District Hospital in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo. Alonday survived the incident and received medical attention before being discharged.
