
Rip Sayso P: Houston Rapper Sauce Walka Injured, Associate Sayso P Killed in Targeted Memphis Shooting
A targeted shooting in downtown Memphis on Saturday left Houston rapper Sauce Walka injured and his associate, rapper Sayso P, dead.
The incident occurred around 2:42 p.m. outside a hotel near Lt. George W. Lee Avenue and Second Street. According to eyewitnesses, multiple people pulled up in a white, four-door vehicle and opened fire, striking Sauce Walka and Sayso P.
Sauce Walka, whose real name is Albert Walker Mondane, was shot in the leg but is expected to recover. He was taken to a local hospital in non-critical condition.
Sayso P, a member of The Sauce Factory (TSF) collective, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Memphis police believe the shooting was not random, stating that the victims and suspects are known to each other. They are working to identify and apprehend the suspects, utilizing downtown camera footage and other technology.
The police department assured the community that downtown Memphis is a safe place, emphasizing that the incident was isolated and not a random act of violence.
