
Six Injured in Newcastle School Bus Collision
Newcastle, South Africa – A serious collision between a school bus and a car occurred on Albert Wessels Drive in Newcastle on Tuesday morning, leaving six people injured. KwaZulu Private Ambulance responded to the scene, providing immediate medical attention to the patients.
According to reports, two patients sustained serious injuries, while four others suffered minor injuries. All patients were stabilized and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
The incident comes as residents in KwaZulu-Natal were warned about hazardous weather conditions, with a level 4 warning issued for disruptive rainfall. The South African Weather Service cautioned that the persistent rainfall may lead to difficult driving conditions and flooding of roads and settlements.
Residents are urged to exercise extreme caution and avoid unnecessary travel, especially on dirt roads, and refrain from crossing rivers and swollen streams where the water level is aboveĀ ankle-deep.
