
LONG BEACH, CA – A violent shooting incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the 1700 block of Long Beach Boulevard, resulting in the death of one man and injuring another.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a crime scene and evidence of a shooting.
Two male victims, both adults, were dropped off at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, 32-year-old Edgar Ortiz-Escamilla of Long Beach succumbed to his injuries. The second victim, whose identity has not been released, is in stable condition.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident is gang-related, but the motive and details remain under investigation.
