Renton, WA – A portion of SR 167 in Renton has closed following a fatal collision early this morning, February 18.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), a driver traveling southbound in the northbound lanes struck a semi-truck at approximately 2:30 a.m. The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the wrong-way driving remains unknown, and authorities are investigating the incident.
Traffic Alert: All northbound lanes of SR 167 at 180th Street, just south of the 405 interchange, are currently blocked. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes, as there is no estimated time for reopening.
