
Tragic Crash in Walton County, Florida: Three Massachusetts Teens Dead, One Critically Injured
A devastating accident involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV has claimed the lives of three 18-year-old high school seniors from Massachusetts, according to WCVB. The crash occurred on Monday night at 9:28 p.m. on U.S. 98 in Walton County, Florida.
The victims have been identified as Concord-Carlisle High School seniors Jimmy McIntosh, Hannah Wasserman, and Maisey O’Donnell. O’Donnell, a two-time Massachusetts state diving champion, had plans to attend Williams College.
The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the SUV collided with the tractor-trailer after it performed a U-turn in the median. Two students were pronounced dead at the scene, while O’Donnell succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
The school community is in shock, with grief counselors available to support students and faculty. The loss of the three students has sent ripples through the community, with many struggling to come to terms with the tragedy.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 19-year-old Florida resident, and a passenger were not injured.
