The community of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, is grieving the loss of 19-year-old Ty Brayden Graves, who passed away on Tuesday, April 1st, due to a motorcycle accident. Graves, a recent graduate of Monroe County High School, was a beloved member of the community, known for his bright personality and adventurous spirit.
Life and Legacy
Born on October 15, 2005, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Graves was a young man with a passion for life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and living life to the fullest, earning him a reputation as the “happiest person.” Graves worked at Roy Anderson Lumber Company and was a member of Rock Valley Church of Christ, where he was baptized on November 21, 2023.
Family and Friends Mourn
Graves is survived by his father, Dutch Graves, and his parents, Larry and Lena Proffitt. He is also survived by his grandparents, Larry and Brenda Graves, and numerous siblings, including five brothers and three sisters. His mother, Casey Jones, preceded him in death. The community is coming together to offer support and condolences to the family during this difficult time.
Funeral Services
Funeral services for Graves will be held on Sunday, April 6th, at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Jason Thompson will officiate the service, and burial will follow at Mt. Poland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3:30-8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
