Bleak House Shooting
According to a family acquaintance, Tony Martin, the convicted murderer who shot and killed a teenage burglar in his house in 1999, passed away at the age of 80.
The nation was split at the time over whether Martin’s actions were deliberate or just a farmer protecting himself and his property after he killed 16-year-old Fred Barras at his Norfolk farmhouse.
Martin was imprisoned in 2000 for the death of the youngster and for the injury he caused to another man, Brendan Fearon, 29, in the same event. Three years later, the murder conviction was dropped in favor of manslaughter, and Martin was freed.
Malcolm Starr, a friend of Martin’s, stated that Martin passed away on Sunday afternoon just before 15:00 GMT after suffering a stroke a few months before.
According to Mr. Starr, he passed away in Cambridgeshire’s Wisbech Hospital surrounded by close friends.
Death is inevitable, every body will die one day. When, where, and how is left for the Creator.
