
Fatal Accident on I-15 Under Investigation
The Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 north of Pocatello. The accident occurred on April 24th around 1:55 pm in the southbound lanes near mile marker 74.
According to report, a 2000 Subaru Legacy driven by a 48-year-old male from Inkom struck the rear of a 2019 Audi A6 driven by a 60-year-old male from Idaho Falls, who was accompanied by a 59-year-old female passenger. The Subaru’s driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
The two occupants of the Audi, who were both wearing seatbelts, were transported to a local hospital. The Idaho State Police is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Idaho is a northwestern U.S. state known for mountainous landscapes, and vast swaths of protected wilderness and outdoor recreation areas. The capital, Boise, is set in the Rocky Mountain foothills and is bisected by the Boise River, which is popular for rafting and fishing.
