Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Central Expressway in Dallas
A woman was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on the southbound Central Expressway in Dallas on Tuesday night, causing significant traffic delays during the Wednesday morning rush hour.
The accident occurred around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, south of the Meadow Road exit. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident led to the closure of all lanes of southbound Hwy. 75 at Meadow Road throughout the night for a police investigation. Hazmat crews worked to clean the roadway, and the highway remained closed until about 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Even after the highway reopened, traffic delays persisted due to other accidents in the backup. The identity of the woman and the circumstances surrounding her death have not been released by the police.
