Maxwell L. Kintner Death-Obituary: Fatal Motorcycle Accident on I-81 in Kirkwood Claims Life of 23-Year-Old Vestal Man
A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Interstate Route 81 North in Kirkwood, NY, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at approximately 3:50 PM. The collision involved three motorcycles and resulted in the death of one rider.
Maxwell L. Kintner, a 23-year-old resident of Vestal, NY, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other victims were transported to Wilson Hospital with serious injuries.
The Broome County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident, and their Accident Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that speed was a contributing factor to the crash.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by multiple agencies, including the New York State Police, Kirkwood Fire Department, and several ambulance services. The investigation is ongoing.
