
Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down State Highway 121 in Grapevine
A devastating multi-vehicle accident occurred on State Highway 121 in Grapevine, Texas, early Friday morning, resulting to the death of one driver and closure of the entire highway.
According to authorities, the crash happened around 5 a.m. when the driver of a sedan traveling northbound struck a guardrail and flipped over the wall into the southbound lanes. The sedan was then hit by two southbound vehicles.
Tragically, the driver of the sedan died at the scene. One of the southbound drivers was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, while the other driver escaped unharmed.
The accident scattered debris across both northbound and southbound lanes, prompting authorities to shut down the highway in both directions at Stone Myers Parkway. Motorists are advised to avoid the west side of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport until crews clear the roadway.
The identities of the drivers involved have not been released, and it remains unclear when the lanes will reopen. Traffic officials estimate that the highway may reopen around 8 a.m.
