An accident has been reported on Tuesday morning on Interstate 95 in Ormond Beach which has caused major backups in Volusia County.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a semi-truck with a trailer was heading north on I-95 when the driver swerved off the road and collided with three light poles. The car then overturned on its side as a result of the driver’s overcorrection.
After witnessing the collision, the driver of a nearby pickup vehicle stopped to assist.
According to officers, a different semi-truck trailer struck the pickup truck and the overturned semi after failing to stop for it.
Not every driver that was involved was taken away from the site and the health condition of the driver was released.
This incident is still under investigation.
