
TUCSON, Ariz. – A section of Interstate 10 in Tucson was shut down on Saturday evening after a wrong-way driver was reported on the eastbound lanes.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation’s AZ511 web service, the incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. The Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to the scene, and fortunately, no injuries were reported among troopers or the individual involved.
As a result of the closure, motorists are advised to expect delays and seek alternative routes.
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has not provided an estimated time for reopening the eastbound lanes.
