
A brazen attempted robbery in Port Augusta has led to the arrest of two teenagers. The incident occurred on Sunday, February 9, just before 6 pm, when a pizza delivery driver was allegedly approached and assaulted by two males on Hicks Street.
The suspects, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, demanded money from the victim, who fortunately escaped serious injury. Following a thorough investigation, Far North CIB detectives and Port Augusta Police apprehended the teens at two separate addresses in Port Augusta on Thursday, February 13.
The teenagers have been charged with attempted aggravated robbery and breach of bail. After being refused police bail, they appeared in the Port Augusta Youth Court, where they were remanded in custody. The teens are scheduled to reappear in court on February 25.
